Lindsay Lohan Ordered to Return to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan Ordered to Return to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan headed Friday morning to face Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox in a probation violation hearing to decide whether she would serve jail time or return to rehab. Though the district attorney requested that the embattled actress get 180 days in county jail, Fox ruled that she would return to rehab until past the new year.

"You are an addict," he stated, according to TMZ. "I hope you understand that." Lohan reportedly nodded her head in agreement. She will return to court on Feb. 25 and will be subject to drug testing in the interim between her release from rehab and her next court date.

During the court appearance, the tearful actress's estranged father, Michael Lohan, sat on the opposite side of the court from Lindsay's mother, Dina.

The bottom line is that Lohan needs to get sober -- and so far, nothing has worked. With Lindsay tweeting that she's "ready to take responsibility for my actions" and father Michael Lohan pledging to stop sharing Lindsay's dirty laundry, the Lohan clan may finally be waking up to the severity of Lindsay's situation.
